It's a job
The incredible job of parenting is that it is the most challenging, insane, and rewarding job that any person can have. There are no guidebooks, maps, or manuals to assist with your particular child or family. Parenting is a subjective activity that is influenced by so many internal and external factors. There are times we can’t find the time or extra energy to consciously process how we respond to children. Our daily relationship with our children can become a relationship that is taken for granted where we are reactive instead of proactive.
